| Pre-Screening Evaluations Upgraded | |
ACCU Staffing Services has implemented a new web based computer evaluation system that offers advanced skills assessment in the pre-screening process. The new system is designed to accurately measure the exact level of a candidate’s experience and competency. Each assessment measures tasks at basic, intermediate and advanced levels and identifies the candidates grasp on a subject while predicting their job performance. This helps reduce the pool to only those who are qualified for specific job positions and compares them against other applicants to reveal the best candidates. The assessments model real-world skills and cover a wide range of job positions where basic business skills are key. The skills evaluations are offered in both standardized and simulated formats. |

ACCU President, Doris M. Damm spoke as a Panelist at the Rutgers-Camden Quarterly Business Outlook at the Clarion Hotel in Cherry Hill on April 17. The session, which examines economic indicators, had about 200 people in attendance. With unemployment down, current trends allow workers to be “choosey,” said Damm, which is making it difficult for companies to attract new employees. Skilled workers are sought after by recruiters as the state nears a level of full employment. Although this is causing some companies to offer higher salaries and better benefits, it is a positive sign of the region’s economic health which is predicted to grow at a healthy pace this year. Damm currently serves as Chairman of the Board for the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia. |
